A Ukrainian reconnaissance brigade has released footage that supposedly shows the destruction of the Russian S-350 “Vityaz” air defense system in the Donetsk region.
The footage was shared by the Chornyi Lis brigade last Sunday (16) in a YouTube video and shows the destruction of the S-350, one of Moscow’s most modern air defense systems.
The Vityaz, developed to replace the older S-300PS and Buk-M1-2 systems, was brought into service in 2020 and is capable of combating various aerial threats such as drones, missiles, helicopters, and other aircraft.

“Thanks to the skilled actions of the reconnaissance troops of the ‘Chornyi Lis‘ artillery reconnaissance brigade, we were able to detect and destroy the latest Russian medium and short-range surface-to-air missile system, the S-350 ‘Vityaz‘”, stated the unit.
The video released by the Ukrainian brigade allegedly captures the moment of impact on the Russian system, but the quality of the footage makes it somewhat difficult to identify the target. However, if the loss of an S-350 is confirmed, it would be a setback for Russia’s layered air defense network in occupied territories.
